Kid Immune-Boosting Yum’mus, yam hummus!
2 cups yams, cut into chunks and steamed
1 1/2 cups chickpeas, cooked and drained
1/4 cup tahini
1 small garlic clove
1/2 teaspoon paprika
3 teaspoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon maple syrup
Juice from one lemon
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
Pepper, to taste
Water as needed
Add all ingredients to a food processor and pulse to combine. Use a spatula to scrape the sides of the bowl and add small amounts of water as needed for smooth consistency.
Serve with fresh veggies, crackers or apple slices. Yum’mus is delicious in sandwiches, wraps and even quesadillas~ Enjoy!
