Claire has been training Yoga Teachers for over 25 years, and has been training teachers online and remotely for 15 years. She has traveled the world teaching Yoga, Meditation, and Mindfulness, and has certified thousands of teachers throughout her career.

Working alongside Dr. Deepak Chopra and Dr. David Simon, Claire co-created The Chopra Center Yoga Program at The Chopra Center for Wellbeing in California, where she continues to serve on the Advisory Board.

In 1993, Claire founded The American Yoga Academy, a world-renowned Yoga Teacher Training School. She is a professor of Asian Studies at Seton Hall University, teaching one of the most popular courses on campus, “Zen and Yoga: The Art of Living.” Claire has taught fitness and wellness programs to the Navy Seals, and following 9/11, she taught yoga and wellness programs to the Firefighters of New York City. For 15 years, to provide long term support for the Firefighters and their families, she wrote a bi-monthly column about Yoga for, the largest website community for Firefighters around the world.

Her past and present corporate clients include JP Morgan, Exxon, CNBC, Dun & Bradstreet, MSNBC, Honeywell, AT&T, and many more. She has worked with numerous celebrities and has a large private clientele. Claire was awarded Executive and Professional Woman of the Year 2012 by The National Association of Professional Women.

Claire meditates daily, eats mindfully, and fulfills her dharma as an expert yoga teacher, professional trainer, and caring mentor as the esteemed Lead Educator at The American Yoga Academy. She lives yoga on and off the mat and believes, “Yoga is for everyone.”

Claire is a true expert, best known for her brilliance in making health and wellness fun, practical, and adaptable for everyone. Claire has written many yoga manuals and workbooks on health and wellness during her career. She has produced, directed and starred in 7 Yoga DVDs. Her charisma, entertaining qualities, and vast experience in yoga have allowed her to reach thousands of people all over the world. Claire’s gift of teaching people powerful, yet simple techniques to add into their daily lives is extraordinary. In each of her classes, Claire teaches that yoga is more than just a pose. It’s about living yoga on and off the mat.

Martha has been involved in practicing yoga for over 3 decades. A multi-lingual MBA, Martha is also a yoga and breathwork instructor certified RYT-200 by Ruh Yoga of India, and RYT-500 by The American Yoga Academy. She holds a BA in English from Columbia University in New York City, as well as an MBA in International Business and an MA in Writing.

Working for years overseas in Europe and South America, Martha honed her teaching and language skills. She trains and supports American Yoga Academy students in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian. Her past experience includes managing consulting teams and projects at large, multinational corporations including Pfizer, Nabisco, and Roche, as well as teaching and developing curriculum at New Jersey Institute of Technology, Kean University, and Rutgers University.

Yoga and breathwork have been important tools to help keep Martha grounded during her years of corporate management and travel. She understands how life-changing yoga can be and is dedicated to helping students worldwide experience the joy and freedom of the yogic lifestyle.
